With over 60 engineers, our engineering department offers comprehensive design and qualification capabilities for landing systems, implementation and aerostructures, offering the right solution for commercial aircraft, fixed and rotating wing for the small/medium aircraft market.

The experience gained in international programs such as Prime and Sub-Contractor confirms consolidated engineering skills, gained from 1936 first as “build to print” and from 1998 as “build to spec“.

The Engineering Team features capabilities and competencies in the field of:

Systems and Structures Engineering:  design and development of complete systems and structural parts/assemblies from conceptual design and architectures definition, through 3D modelling, kineto-dynamic analyses, sizing and performances, loads calculation, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses, linear and non-linear FEA, and impact analyses.

Systems and Structures Testing: Full qualification of Landing Gear systems, Hydro/Electro Mechanical Systems and certification of composite structural components. Drop test up to 10 tons at a sink speed of 5 m/s, full static and fatigue test, environmental testing in climatic chambers ranging from -70°C to +180°C relative humidity included, material (metal and composite) characterization and certification.

Engineering internal organization is able to meet Customers demanding requirements and ensuring high level of product quality and safety. Systems Engineers have skill to work in international joint definition teams to develop a customized product since the earliest phases of definition with a “design to cost and weight” approach in compliance with the customer’s technical specifications and airworthiness rules.

Project management approach is used since the earliest phases of the new programs, through the definition of WBS key milestones, dedicated planning, resources allocation, risk assessment and mitigation plan.
